3LAB

3LAB Bottle

With an attractive website, 3LAB products claim to be developed by two chemists and a dermatologist. They claim to treat facial wrinkles using Promatryx and Hydranox complexes to fill in fine lines and wrinkles. They also use skin brighteners to even skin tones and diminish discoloration. In addition, they promise to increase production of collagen and increase elasticity in the skin. To deliver on all these promises, 3LAB claims to test every product a minimum of 3 times with successful results.

Price: $400/2 oz jar

The 3LAB line contains a variety of products for those with different skin types from dry to oily. It sells at high end retail stores including Saks fifth avenue and Barneys. The founders of the company share a 60 year combined history of experience, and each product is scientifically tested by the company three times before being released to the public. The website also states the line is rich in age defying ingredients such as DMAE, Vitamin E, seaweed extracts, Ester C, alpha lipoic acid, and Co-Q10. Unlike some other products we have looked at, they use ingredients designed to work as collagen boosters and human growth hormones. To the best knowledge of this observer, they aren’t promising instant results by using an excessive amount of moisturizers like some of the other products reviewed.

The biggest problem for the average consumer is the $400 price tag. That’s $100 more than I would expect to pay for botox! And the results of botox are actually guaranteed. The second problem I have is the fact that they don’t actually provide a list of ingredients on the website. They say that they use ingredients such as DMAE, Vitamin E, and alpha lipoic acid. But they fail to provide a complete list of all ingredients used or the amount of each ingredient used.

3LAB contains to be above and beyond the level of their average competitor. With a $400 price tag, they better be. But they fail to provide the evidence to back that claim up. At that price, a consumer could easily get botox injections, and the average consumer could most likely achieve the same results 3LAB actually provides at a fraction of the cost. There are several products out there that provide a fully proven ingredient list and a much more affordable price. For these options, please check our top three products currently reviewed.
