Biotherm’s anti-aging skin care line ‘Skin Vivo’ claims to take 10 years off the face in 4 weeks. The line includes the cream, a concentrated serum, a night cream, and an eye cream. The active ingredients in the product are a patented combination of pure thermal plankton and Reverserol SV. Biotherm claims that Reverserol SV can rejuvenate the skin through the vital impulse of the genes and the defense of DNA, meaning that it recreates cells and DNA that are lost daily, leaving you with younger looking skin. The product also contains silicium and bio-peptides.
Many women noticed that the product stung the skin when applied, but usually did not cause redness or lasting irritation. The cost, however, is high – the cream is $57 for 1.69 fl. oz and the eye and night creams are even pricier, costing as much as $80 an ounce.
The peptides in the product are the only active ingredient listed that has been shown to increase the production of collagen, and unfortunately it is the last ingredient listed. This means that there are probably not enough peptides in the cream to be effective.
The Reverserol SV in the product, though intriguing, is untested and patented, so it is impossible to compare it to other products, and a full explanation of what it does and how was not available.
Though some women noticed that this product improved the skin under their eyes, and softened their wrinkles, we would not recommend this product because A.) it is super expensive, and B.) that DNA stuff sounds made up.
