The Clayton Shagal formula was researched and produced in Germany, and it is now sold out of Montreal. They claim to use only the highest grade collagen for the most efficient penetration of the skin. Their site states that their “collagen gel and extract formulations are scientifically proven to require no injection to reach the dermis of the skin where collagen lives…is 99% pure collagen….and is totally compatible to human skin!” While the company originated with only one product, they have now grown to include a multitude of different products for different purposes. The company’s main ingredients include collagen, elastin, proteoglycans, cytokines, hydrocomplex, placenta, and hynoderm.
Though the company claims they are sold only through salons, spas, and medical clinics, there are a multitude of online third party sellers to be found through a quick google search. They also list a number of proven ingredients such as elastin and collagen in their formulations.
However, there is no ingredients list for each product produced by Clayton Shagal. To find out which ingredients happen to be in which formula, you have to do quite a bit of digging through the website and look at the information page of each ingredient. Collagen and elastin are important ingredients in the process of reversing visible signs of aging. However, without a complete ingredient list for any one product or even the mention of certain essential ingredients such as hyaluronic acid or matrixyl, it leaves quite a big question mark. The website claims they are backed by “clinical studies”, but does not site those clinical studies for whatever reason. The website in general is difficult to navigate, and we could find no testimonials. Nor could we find any mention of a money back or satisfaction guarantee.
The basic ingredients, supposedly in Clayton Shagal products, are descent, and they use some eye catching marketing tactics. However, in all actuality, they provide little to no substance or information on their website. They make a lot of nice promises and claims, however, provide little to back those up. Until the company provides more evidence and facts, I wouldn’t know where to begin in recommending any of their products.
