Cream of Cathay

The Cream of Cathay is part of the Jason Winters line, developed in 1977 by Jason Winters. The story goes that Mr. Winters was told he had a cancerous tumor that was not responding to treatment. So he searched the world for herbal treatments for his cancerous condition. He is currently free of his cancer, and as a result, he wanted to spread the cures he found to the rest of the world. The Cream of Cathay is said to be one that “presents a more youthful, vibrant, smooth, and healthy looking skin.”

The story and company behind the Cream of Cathay is an inspiring one, and they are bound and determined to use only all natural ingredients such as rose water. Their aim seems to be general health instead of just one targeted problem. Unlike most other companies in the market, they are also affordable and offer a 90 day money back guarantee for those uninspired by the use of their product.

While the ideal of the company is good, the Cream of Cathay uses some ingredients who are not “all natural” and whose safety has been questioned in recent years such as parabens. As such, unlike with the rest of their product line, they do not actually advertise the Cream of Cathay as “all natural.” In addition, there is not one ingredient listed that actually has proven and effective anti aging properties. The ones I look for are collagen, argireline, and matrixyl. However, none of those have been included in this formulation. They do not provide a full ingredients list on their website, and the few ingredients provided by the company are few and far between.

When I first read about the Jason Winters Company, I was impressed. I mean a man who was so determined not to let cancer beat him, that when he was told all hope was lost, he found his own cure. That’s impressive. However, when looking into this particular product, it does not seem to follow the mantra of the rest of the product line. Moreover, they take one of the unfortunately more popular ways out by not actually sharing their full ingredient list. They don’t publicize any proven anti aging ingredients, which leads me to think they don’t have any. As such, while the rest of the Jason Winters line seems great, I would not suggest purchasing this particular product.
