Created in 1991 by Dr Howard Sobel, the Doctor’s Dermatologic Formula created a number of products, including DDF Wrinkle Relax. They have also created a number of acne treatments and treatments specially designed for sensitive skin. The company claims the wrinkle relax will decrease crow’s feet, fine lines, and wrinkles in as little as 4 weeks.
The DDF Wrinkle Relax initially impresses me, because they provide a full ingredients list, which is uncommon to say the least today. Most companies seem to hide their ingredients list for one reason or another. In that ingredient list, they seem to use valuable ingredients such as argireline and hyaluronic acid. Argireline has been proven to relax muscles flexed by common facial expressions and therefore reduce the stress on the skin, reducing the appearance of wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid, a component of the connective tissue, is known to cushion and lubricate, as well as to contain anti inflammatory properties. It also uses shea butter, which is an excellent moisturizer.
While DDF Wrinkle Relax does provide a full and impressive ingredients list, they don’t provide any customer testimonials. In addition, the return policy is unclear and questionable. It is also missing collagen and matrixyl, two other ingredients I look for in dependable and effective formulations. While hyaluronic acid and argireline are effective and proven ingredients, neither of them promotes the formulation and renewing of the skin cells or collagen cells, which is essential in promoting long lasting anti wrinkle effects.
If your skin is dry and the flexing of certain facial muscles is the major cause of your wrinkles, DDF Wrinkle Relax would be the perfect product for you. However, for most of us, our wrinkles carry multiple causes, some of them curable only by the skin replenishing itself and its collagen levels, something this product does not do. So if you would like to use DDF Wrinkle Relax, it would have to be used in conjunction with another product, which can get pricy to say the least.
