They say that the ingredients can help to stimulate collagen production while penetrating deep to fight wrinkles. This product has been featured in ads in both Women’s Health and Marie Claire. This is one of the only products on the market to fight both acne and wrinkles at the same time. We have to question how effective this formula is because many times acne products and wrinkles products have opposite actions. Many wrinkles products are designed to hydrate the skin. Acne products focus on drying out the acne prone areas. So can this product find the right balance?

Ingredients and Mechanisms
The main purpose of Murad Acne & Wrinkle Reducer is to help clear pores and kill bacteria. It is meant to give you a clearer more youthful complexion. The main active ingredient in this is salicylic acid. It only has .5% of that, but that could be enough to dry out the skin. The only wrinkle treatment ingredients we see in this product are found in very small amounts.
Honestly we don’t see how Murad Acne & Wrinkle Reducer would double as a wrinkle treatment. It seems to only be an average acne treatment product. They say that the Kombusha Collagen Defense system is supposed to help increase collagen, but we do not see how they could have enough of those ingredients to actually be beneficial.

Murad Acne & Wrinkle Reducer is not a product that we really recommend. It may be a common acne treatment, but it is not going to help you reduce any wrinkles. There just aren’t the necessary ingredients to fight aging in this product. We’re not sure why they even advertise it as a wrinkle treatment.
