Relastin is a brand of wrinkle products claiming to give you real results. Elastin focuses on rebuilding the elastin in your skin. Elastin is so named, because it restores elasticity to your skin, allowing it to stress and snap back into place without developing stretch marks, wrinkles, etc. They claim that your skin “virtually stops producing elastin in adolescence.” It apparently penetrates the upper layer of the skin, seeping into the deep layers and promoting the regrowth of elastin.
While elastin is a great supplement, you cannot or rather should not just regrow elastin. Collagen is extremely important, and without collagen, your skin isn’t going to look that great, even if it has that restored elasticity. The only ingredients you will find in Relastin include moisturizers and one industrial grade preservative, hardly ingredients that would really promote the growth of anything, let alone rebuild the skin. Titanium dioxide might actually do more damage to your skin.
There is nothing to prove or suggest that Relastin could prove its results would work. It is based on a few moisturizers, and it doesn’t have a single wrinkle fighting ingredient of any kind. You could get a comparable moisturizer for about $5 at your local grocery store. But they charge considerably more than that and make quite a few more claims.
