What is StriVectin-SH Age Protect SPF 30?
StriVectin-SH Age Protect SPF 30 is a cream that claims to both reduce the signs of aging and act as a skin protectant against the effects UV rays. Simply put, it is a wrinkle cream and a sunscreen all in one. We are interested in seeing if this product will deliver results, since many sunscreens have additives which make them greasy – designed to make them more water resistant. We would guess that this product might be effective as a sunscreen, but maybe less so as a wrinkle cream.

Pros
This product contains niacin, which has been proven to be somewhat effective at reducing wrinkles and fine lines.
Cons
This product contains octocrylene, which has been proven to actually increase the chances that you will suffer DNA damage and skin cancer. In a study performed using rats, octocrylene applied to rats actually increased their chances of suffering from these effects, even more so than those who used no sunscreens whatsoever.
Conclusion
We would not recommend this product. It could be potentially dangerous, and is simply not with the risk.

Ok, it totally did nothing for me. Maybe it takes years and when I am 50 I will notice, but it did feel nice and not thick. I like the SPF, but for this price, I would have expected more than sunblock which I can get from anywhere and the neutragena line is a lot less costly.
