The Power of Argireline

Also known as Acetyl Hexapeptide-3, Argireline is a patented peptide developed by Lipotec, a Barcelona based research and development company.  When used on the face in concentrations of 10% or less, argireline relaxes the facial muscles associated with contractions and thereby decreases wrinkles.

In vitro and In Vivo studies have been conducted, by a laboratory called Advancell, and studies have backed up claims of wrinkle reducing properties.  One such study showed it to reduce wrinkle depth by 16% after 4 weeks and up to 27% after 30 days.  It definitely takes time.  But for those individuals who don’t want to undergo harsh or expensive procedures such as a facelift or botox, argireline has provided a promising alternative.

As a patented ingredient, Argireline can be found in just about every worthwhile wrinkle cream, serum, etc. currently on the market.  Some of these products include our top products like Renuvie as well as other brands you may recognize such as Alpha Derma CE, LifeCell, Avotone, and many others.  However, buyers should be cautious, as the presence of Argireline in an anti wrinkle product is not a guarantor of quality.  There are plenty of products with Argireline at the expense of any other worthwhile or active ingredients.  There are also those companies that would advertise 15% or 20% concentrations of Argireline to put themselves a step above other companies.  In the case of most revolutionary ingredients, this would work.  But in the case of Argireline, no cream or serum should contain more than a 10% concentration.  Anything above that will excessively relax the facial muscles and cause facial sag, droopy eyelids, etc.

In short, when deciding on any anti wrinkle product, one should definitely look for Argireline, preferably near the top of the ingredient list(ingredients are listed by concentration, in other words, the highest concentrations of ingredients will be listed first).  Just make sure you are fully informed about what else your favorite cream or serum may or may not contain.
